Homonymic Humour

Recently when I was travelling to Panvel, I found this sign on the local train station.
So much for the people born under the Cancer zodiac sign! :P

A new *member*

When I went back home, I was greeted by a new *member* in the family!

Much to the surprise of everyone this new member, which I would ordinarily call a cat, lacks any feline like characteristics.
It simply refuses to even sit on the floor, requires a bed and a pillow to sleep, and retorts to scare you when you shove it away.

Innocence Personified

There has to be something about childhood...the vision sees the colours brighter...the morning fresher...the air softer & more fragrant than ever.Days of nothingness mean everything...ignorance is sheer bliss...times of no work and all play being the only known way!
The vision is slowly blurred. The things seen before, you see no more.
Those days fade away into nothingness..into places unknown...into time fleeting.

Who says life is not a bed of roses?

For me it was...on that delightful day!

Location: Mainau Island ,Germany

Of all flowers as the king
you have been acknowledged for ages,
giving every imagination a wing
to pen down never ending pages!

Your fiery red for love - the cause of many a unity,
Your chaste white for innocence and purity,
Your pink for happiness, the yellow for friendship & gaiety!

To me it is just marvelling at Nature's complex simplicity,
taking me back to fairy-like childhood days
of 'the Beast and the Beauty'!

Of Contrasts

Black against the pure white marble.
Reminiscent of life?

It is the chaste, clear & pure white which has given the evil, dark & deep black its rightful place. Amen.

Traffic Signals Jammed

When I was at a place where not only are the Traffic Signals jammed but whole life permanently boils down to 'Red Lights'....A voice said:

Will I see the sunrise ever again?
Will I see the green meadows ever again?
Will I see the blue skies and hills ever again?
Will I see the morning dewdrops on leaves again?

Behold! These are sadly not the questions,

'Tis only whether it can ever be the same again?

Location: De Wallen, the largest and best-known red-light district in Amsterdam, a major tourist attraction!

Description: Narrow streets, thousands of people of all ages, all kinds of groups - children, old people, couples, groups of girls and ofcourse men, hundreds of sex shops, theatres, coffee shops perhaps selling marijuana and more, by far the most crowded and stuffed place witnessed in Europe ( I bet if everyone was to be queued up here the glorious 'Eiffel' would be put to shame), and the rather naive 20 year old totally totally amazed and bewildered by the tourism, business and hype created...thoughts and more thoughts...and only the sense of pity and hope for a scarlet cord to their rescue some day or some night...
